“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”
– Zig Ziglar
January is over. It is officially mid-February. Crazy, right? Time flies.
This year I am trying something new – monthly resolutions instead of New Year’s resolutions.
I have been always setting New Year’s resolutions and somehow by May some of the resolutions naturally fade away. Others actually work pretty well. Life happens. We grow, learn, surprise ourselves.
That’s why I have been trying to update the list of my resolutions on a monthly basis. Thus I focus on one month at a time and break the goals that require more time and energy into smaller steps. Seeing improvement every month is a big source of motivation.
I believe it is important to keep the New Year’s resolutions as a concept representing the bigger picture. Yet making monthly goals is a sort of a guarantee that you do not forget where you want to go – we all get lost from time to time.
